The Sahara desert tour starts in Marrakech. The air-conditioned Minibus can accommodate a maximum of 8 participants. It will cover more than 1,300 kilometers over the next three days. But that sounds more exhausting than it is in the end. Because the view from the Minibus window is phenomenal and the landscape breathtaking. Regular stops delight photographers and toilet visitors alike. During the longer breaks, more extensive visits are on the program. And there is a lot to visit, because the trip to the Sahara and back leads past several important sights such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou or the Todra Gorge. 3 Day Desert tour itinerary


The first day of the desert trip drive over the High Atlas Mountains and stop in Ait Benhaddou kasbah. Ouarzazate and optionally a visit to the Kasbah Taourirt or the Atlas studio via the nearby film studios. Then the route follows the so-called “Road of the Kasbahs” and crosses the Rose valley. Overnight in a relatively atmospheric middle-class hotel in Boumalne Dadès, where there is nothing to complain about.


The second day begins with a drive through the Dades valley to Todra Gorge, where you can have free time to walk in the gorge and also have lunch after a walk. The route then leads through the Tafilalet to Merzouga.

In front of the dunes, there will start the adventure by camels, this is left to a minimum. It must be recorded on camels Square. Like a caravan, you hike through the sand dunes for about an hour and a half through the main dune of Erg Chebbi.

The approximately 150-meter high sand dune forms an imposing backdrop. At its foot is the desert camp where you will spend the night. A fire is already burning there.
